Senior Tax Accountant – Entertainment / Business Management Company

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Senior Tax Accountant to join a growing entertainment and business management company. This fully remote role supports high-net-worth individuals, entertainers, creatives, executives, and closely held businesses with complex tax preparation, planning, compliance, and advisory needs.

The ideal candidate has strong technical tax expertise, experience working with individuals and pass-through entities, and the ability to communicate clearly with clients, internal teams, and external advisors in a fast-paced professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities

·         Prepare and review complex federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, corporations, trusts, and related entities.

·         Support tax planning and compliance strategies for entertainment industry clients, high-net-worth individuals, and business management clients.

·         Analyze client financial records, general ledgers, investment activity, K-1s, 1099s, W-2s, and other tax documents to ensure accurate reporting.

·         Research federal, state, and local tax issues and document conclusions in a clear, technically sound manner.

·         Assist with quarterly and year-end tax projections, estimated tax payments, and cash flow planning.

·         Coordinate with business managers, bookkeepers, payroll providers, attorneys, and financial advisors to gather information and resolve tax matters.

·         Respond to tax notices and support correspondence with federal and state taxing authorities.

·         Maintain organized workpapers, documentation, and client files in accordance with firm standards.

·         Mentor junior team members and assist with training, workflow review, and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

·         CPA a huge plus.

·         5+ years of Public Accounting,  Business Management, or related tax experience.

·         Experience preparing and reviewing individual and pass-through entity tax returns.

·         Strong understanding of federal and multi-state tax compliance and planning.

·         Experience with entertainment, creative professional, high-net-worth, or closely held business clients is highly preferred.

·         Proficiency with professional tax software and Microsoft Excel; experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting platforms preferred. CCH Axcess

·         Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client-service mindset.

·         Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while collaborating effectively with a distributed team.
